2010 Brown Bag Lunches for Ministry & Church Executives and Leaders,
Financial Officers, and Business Administrators
Throughout the year the Chapter sponsors a series of brown bag luncheons for ministry executives & staff that compliment our regular luncheon seminar series. Part of our Special Interest Group Series (SIG’s), each meeting is an opportunity to come together with other active ministry staff to discuss current issues of interest and to exchange ideas. Informal and casual in nature, these meetings offer a special opportunity to interact with peers around a wide range of topics and issues. Past meetings have focused on such issues as: ministry housing allowance, housing assistance options, taxability of special gifts, ministry “best” practices, Short Term Mission Trip accounting and compliance issues, worker’s compensation, directed giving, ministry compliance issues, working with volunteers, and emergency planning and safety management.
In 2010 we have two SIG groups for you to get involved with. Our business and accounting SIG will continue to focus on issues and topics focused around business financial practices and compliance. New for 2010 is a SIG that will offer an opportunity for ministry staff and others who work in and around the areas of IT/Computing/Web Development/Social Networking to meet and discuss issues of interest and concern.
Each SIG is hosted by a member of our board of directors and discussions are led by industry experts. All meetings are held at Crossroads Bible Church in San Jose. Meetings typically begin at 12:00pm and go for about an hour. We invite you to bring your lunch and join us!
