General Session:
Once again, there have been significant additions and changes in the tax regulations governing individual clergy & ministry tax reporting, labor and compensation regulations, payroll taxes, and the body of regulatory laws governing the activities of non-profits and their staffs. In this session, Steve will provide you with specific information on all the relevant changes that will affect your Ministry in 2012, including details on the last minute tax extension bills passed in December of 2011, new California regulations that further criminalize the misclassification of individuals as independent contractors, and the specific components of the Health Care Reform Act (HR 3590) that go into effect in 2012.
Follow-up Sessions:
Immediately following the general session we will once again offer an opportunity for you and your ministry staff to receive additional tax and compliance information that could not be covered in the general session.
In San Jose and Livermore, two parallel sessions will be offered, one focused on church financial compliance and reporting issues, the other focused on issues specific to other religious organizations.
In Roseville and Reno there will be a single follow up session tailored to the makeup of the group in attendance that day. These sessions provide you with a great opportunity to get answers to specific ministry questions.
Space is limited, so sign up early to reserve your place. And don’t forget to bring along anyone else in your organization, pastors, board members, business administrators, and other staff involved in the “business of ministry,” who could benefit by hearing first hand from this information-packed seminar.
